The cello stand

The cello stand, made with maple for the bend laminated parts, and teak for the connecting ‘ribs’, keeping the structure together.

For the protection of the cello I used cork on the bottom part of the stand, for the neck of the cello I got myself a leather band, all these things I was happy to find at a shoemaker. The little hook for the bow I was happy to get from my dad.

It was a good learning experience working with bend forms and I am sure my mother will make good use of it.
